There are currently 9 different Runes (Runestones) that can be crafted or looted from monsters.  These Runes are used in crafting, enhancing, unlocking/building and adding Runewords to builds.  Rune I, Rune II, and Rune III are gray. Rune IV, Rune V, and Rune VI are green. Rune VII, Rune VIII, and Rune IX are red.
