Gear disassembly is unlocked through the completion of Lord of Dissection Quest 1: Dragon King. Upon doing this you will be requested to dismantle the 10 daggers.
Upon dismantling a piece of gear your will receive Sacred Soul Stone, depending on what tier the Weapons, Shields, Amulets, or Cosmetics are from will determine how many Sacred Soul Stones you get from dismantling it, the value of each can be found on the Sacred Soul Stone page.
